UBSE UK Board 2026 Class 10th, 12th Results: 98.20% students pass in matric

The Uttarakhand Board of School Education (UBSE) on April 25 declared the results for Class 10 high school and Class 12 annual exam results. The results are now available on the official website- ubse.uk.gov.in and uaresults.nic.in. The UBSE Class 10 and Class 12 result download link is also accessible at DigiLocker. In addition to the 2026 annual exams, UBSE has also announced the improvement examination (second) results of 2025.

This year, the class 10 exam was held between February 23 and March 20, 2026, while the exam for class 12 was held between February 21 and March 20, 2026. As many as 1,12,266 students appeared in the Class 10 exams, and 1,02,986 students took the Class 12 UBSE exams this year.

Out of 1,12,266 registered students, a total of 1,08,983 appeared for the examinations, with 1,00,373 successfully qualifying. Female students significantly outperformed their male counterparts, achieving a pass rate of 96.07% compared to 88.03% for boys. Akshat Gopal from Ramnagar secured the top position in the state with 98.20%, while Bageshwar emerged as the best-performing district with a 96.98% pass rate.

In terms of performance divisions, 30,734 students (28.20%) achieved a First Division, while the highest number of students, 46,708 (42.86%), passed in the Second Division, and 14,986 (13.75%) secured a Third Division.

There was a notable performance gap between candidate types; regular students achieved a high pass rate of 92.47%, whereas private candidates recorded a significantly lower rate of 65.05%.

The academic performance in the 2026 Intermediate examinations shows an upward trend, with the overall pass percentage reaching 85.11%, an improvement from 83.23% in 2025 and 80.98% in 2023. In terms of division-wise results, 41,507 students (41.32%) achieved a First Division, while 34,987 students (34.82%) passed in the Second Division, and a small fraction of 330 students (0.32%) secured a Third Division. Additionally, 7,814 students (7.77%) passed with Honors (Distinction).

Regular (institutional) students recorded a high pass rate of 85.93%, whereas private (individual) candidates saw a lower success rate of 61.48%.

The evaluation process was conducted with rigorous quality control, utilising 29 evaluation centres and 1,457 examiners who followed a central evaluation system. To minimise errors, the board implemented a 50% audit (scrutiny) of answer sheets and utilised digital data punching to collect marks online directly from the evaluation centres.

The entire process, from the commencement of exams on February 21 to the result declaration on April 25, 2026, was completed through a strictly monitored phase-wise training and evaluation schedule.

To check the results, students have to visit the official link of UBSE, then click the link to the results for their respective class. After that, give the login information, and the result will be available. Once the results are available, you can download it or take a screenshot for later use. The UBSE Class 10th results and UBSE Class 12th results will also be made available at the IE Education Portal.

Last year, UBSE class 10 recorded a pass percentage of 90.77 per cent in the exam. The pass percentage for class 12 was 88.20 per cent.

Students who have failed in a minimum of two subjects can take the compartment exam. The application process for the same starts few days after the results are declared. Those who have passed in all the subjects but want to increase their marks can also sit for the exam. Students have to submit the application form through their school with a fee.

The board also offers a re-evaluation for the students who are not happy with their marks. For this, they have to submit the application form online. After the re-evaluation marks can either increase, decrease or stay constant.
