Bihar Election 2025 LIVE Updates: Union Home Minister Amit Shah is all set to attend three public rallies at Khagaria, Munger and Bihar Sharif today. This comes a day after Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched his campaign for the Assembly elections with back-to-back rallies in Samastipur and Begusarai, weaving together a narrative of social justice, development and Hindutva, even as he cautioned people not to let “jungle raj” return to the state, accusing the Opposition Mahagathbandhan leaders of lawlessness and corruption.

NDA’s CM face: RJD leader and CM face of the Mahagathbandhan Tejashwi Yadav claimed that Nitish Kumar will not be made the chief minister if the ruling alliance is again voted to power. He also alleged that Kumar has been hijacked by the BJP, and two people from Gujarat – ostensibly referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah – are “controlling” Bihar. “Amit Shah has made it clear that elected legislators will decide the CM of Bihar after elections. Nitish Kumar will not be made the CM if the NDA is voted to power again,” he said. LJP-Ram Vilas chief Chirag Paswan, on the other hand, slammed the Mahagathbandhan for not projecting a Muslim Deputy CM face.

‘Jungle Raj’ jibes: Speaking at a public rally in Samastipur, Bihar, Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on the Opposition and reaffirmed the NDA’s commitment to “good governance”. Taking a direct swipe at RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, Modi invoked the state’s memories of “Jungle Raj”, saying Bihar would not allow those days to return. Tejashwi Yadav took a swipe at PM Modi’s ‘Jungle Raj’ comments saying, “The Prime Minister himself listed 55 scams of Nitish Kumar. What action has been taken? When scams are happening and no action is being taken, that is jungle raj.”
