Apple recently launched the iPhone 17 series smartphones alongside the iPhone Air – its slimmest phone ever. During the launch event, the Cupertino-based tech giant also claimed that the iPhone Air is its most durable smartphone to date.

Since then, many iPhone users and smartphone enthusiasts have been waiting for YouTuber JerryRigEverything’s hands-on test to see if it survives the bend test. To give you a quick recap, the iPhone Air is just 5.6mm thin and has a 6.5-inch OLED screen protected by Corning’s Ceramic Shield 2, which it says is three times more scratch-resistant than its predecessor.

Coming back to the durability test, the popular YouTuber puts a lighter to the iPhone Air’s screen for a few seconds, and it surprisingly does no damage to the display panel. He goes on to scratch the buttons, the camera island, the new front Center Stage camera, and as one would expect, the titanium frame does get damaged.
