NEW DELHI: India and the US remain in touch over a possible meeting between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump on the margins of the G7 summit in France next week. A final confirmation, however, is still awaited as the two sides work around scheduling constraints to finalise the proposed meeting.PM Modi will participate in the G7 Summit in Evian, France, on June 16-17. The leaders are expected to come face to face for the first time since PM Modi travelled to Washington in Feb last year, shortly after Trump’s swearing-in.TOI had reported on June 3 that both sides are considering an engagement on the margins of summit. The meeting, if it happens, will provide the leaders an opportunity to review bilateral cooperation over the past year or so and to seek an early conclusion of the ongoing negotiations for a bilateral trade agreement.
