Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal will travel to Israel on November 20-22 on the invitation of Israel’s Minister of Economy and Industry Nir Barkat, the Ministry of Commerce of Industry announced on Wednesday (November 19, 2025).

Mr. Goyal will be accompanied by a 60-member business delegation, facilitated by the Confederation of Indian Industry, the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry, the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India, and Start-up India.

“The visit underscores the growing strategic and economic engagement between India and Israel and reflects the shared commitment of both countries to deepen bilateral cooperation across trade, technology, innovation and investment,” the Commerce Ministry said in a release.

During the visit, Mr. Goyal will hold high-level bilateral meetings with senior Israeli leadership, apart from Mr. Barkat.

“Discussions are expected to focus on strengthening trade and investment ties, advancing cooperation in key sectors such as agriculture, water, defence, emerging technologies, life sciences, infrastructure, advanced manufacturing and exploring opportunities for enhanced collaboration between businesses of both countries including start-ups,” the release added.

The trade Ministers are also expected to review the progress on the proposed India-Israel free trade agreement (FTA).

During his visit, Mr. Goyal will also take part in the India-Israel Business Forum and the fourth edition of the high-level CEOs Forum.

“The Minister will also meet senior leaders from major Israeli companies in fields such as agriculture, desalination and waste water treatment, cyber security, smart mobility, infrastructure among others, and interact with prominent Israeli investors,” the government said.
