Justin Herbert was caught on video before the game on Monday, September 15, 2025. The Los Angeles Chargers quarterback made what looked like an offensive hand gesture while walking into Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The NFL posted the clip on its X account. But it was quickly taken down after fans spotted it. The game followed hours later. Herbert then led the Chargers to a 20-9 win against the Las Vegas Raiders, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns.

The moment happened before kickoff in Las Vegas. Herbert walked back to the locker room and raised his hand in a quick gesture. It seemed subtle, but fans noticed right away.The clip was posted by the NFL on its X account. Minutes later, the league deleted it. By then, fans had already reacted. One wrote, “I’m liking him more and more.” Another said, “Justin Herbert is hilarious.” A third posted, “That’s my QB.”The removal only made the video spread faster. Screenshots were shared online. Replays of the clip went viral across social media on Monday night. Herbert did not comment on the moment, and the NFL has not explained why the video was deleted.

Justin Herbert leads Chargers to win as Geno Smith struggles

When the game began, Herbert put the talk behind him. He completed 19 of 27 passes for 242 yards. He threw two touchdown passes and ran for 31 yards. The Chargers stayed unbeaten at 2-0.For the Raiders, Geno Smith had a tough night. He threw three interceptions. He managed only 180 passing yards on 43 attempts. The final score was 20-9. The Chargers now face the Denver Broncos on Sunday, September 21, 2025, at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California. The Raiders will head to Washington, D.C., to play the Commanders that same day.
