In a bizarre incident that has sparked amusement on social media, a woman in Barabanki, Uttar Pradesh, created high drama after police officers arrived at her home asking her to delete a video recorded outside a police station.

The video, set to a Bhojpuri song, had reportedly crossed over a million views. When the police demanded its removal, the woman refused and threatened to harm herself with a knife. “Chahe kuch bhi kar lijiye sir, hum video nahi delete karenge (I will give up my life but won’t delete it),” she declared.

A viral clip from the incident shows the woman climbing to her terrace and shouting at the officers, insisting she would not take the video down. Sharing the footage, X handle @gharkekalesh wrote: “In Barabanki, a girl’s viral Reel filmed outside a police station led to police visiting her home to demand its deletion. The girl, her mother, and sister climbed onto the roof, refusing to comply and threatening self-harm with a knife. The police left.”

The video quickly gained traction, amassing over five lakh views. “Police gave both mother and daughters another “opportunity” — by making one more reel and adding it on. Now the mother-daughter duo got yet another chance to make money,” a user wrote. “Well reelers are mentally ill. So it makes sense,” another user commented.

“What’s the problem! It’s just a reel,” a third user said.
