Delhi Air Pollution, Weather, AQI Level Today Live Updates: The air quality in Delhi remained in the ‘very poor’ category for the fourth consecutive day on Thursday morning, days after the national capital celebrated Diwali. While the average AQI in Delhi was recorded at over 340 at 5.30 am, the air quality in Anand Vihar area was recorded at 511, in the ‘severe’ zone. Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated post Diwali with slow wind speed making matters worse.

Area-wise AQI in Delhi: The AQI in the RK Puram area of south-west Delhi remains “very poor” at 362, as of 6:00 am today. The AQI at Patparganj also remains “very poor” at 361. The AQI at India Gate and the surrounding areas was recorded at 353, classified as “Very Poor” by the CPCB. The Air Quality Index near AIIMS and the surrounding areas was recorded at 342. The AQI around the Akshardham temple was recorded at 350 this morning. Visuals from the Akshardham area showed a thick layer of smog in the early hours of the day, with low visibility.

Above-normal temperature in Delhi: The minimum temperature settled at 18.1 degrees Celsius, 3.7 degrees below normal, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The maximum temperature is likely to settle around 32 degrees Celsius, with the weather department forecasting mist in the morning hours and mainly clear sky later. It is expected that the temperature in Delhi will remain in the same range this week, with a slight drop expected next week.
