Budget 2026 Expectations LIVE Updates: The Union Budget for 2026-27 will be presented on February 1, marking the first time it is being tabled on a Sunday. Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the budget. Earlier this month, the government announced that the Budget session of Parliament will commence from January 28, with President Droupadi Murmu addressing the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha members assembled in the Lok Sabha chamber.

The first part of the session will conclude on February 13 and reconvene on March 9, allowing time for the scrutiny of Budget proposals by parliamentary committees.
