Boeing aims to deliver two aircraft per month in calendar year 2026 to its customers Air India and Akasa,Ashwani Naidu, Managing Director, Commercial Marketing, Boeing Commercial Airplanes.

This figure would indicate a recovery from 13-14 aircraft delivered in 2025.

The improved numbers come at a time when the FAA has lifted its restrictions on production rate of MAX, which now stands at 42 aircraft per month.

While presenting Boeing’s commercial market outlook for India and South Asia at Hyderabad Airshow, Mr. Naidu also said that Boeing estimated South Asia would need 3,290 new planes by 2044, including 395 wide-body aircraft and 2,875 narrow-body aircraft. This is supported by a growth rate of 7% annually over the next 20 years in passenger air traffic in India and South Asia. Boeingalso expects India will need 45,000 new pilots, 45,000 new technicians and 51,000 new cabin crew by 2044.
