Abhishek Sharma and Varun Chakravarthy have continued to dominate the ICC T20I rankings, holding firm at the top of the batting and bowling charts respectively. The latest update from the International Cricket Council also brought good news for several Pakistan players, who made significant strides after their 2-1 home series win over South Africa.Abhishek remains the world’s No. 1 T20I batter with 925 rating points, staying ahead of England’s Phil Salt and fellow Indian Tilak Varma. Captain Suryakumar Yadav is the only other Indian in the top 10, placed eighth. Among bowlers, Chakravarthy has retained his No. 1 spot, followed by West Indies spinner Akeal Hosein and Afghanistan’s Rashid Khan. The top three remained unchanged this week.

However, there was movement below them. Australia’s Adam Zampa slipped from fourth to seventh, allowing Sri Lanka’s Wanindu Hasaranga, England’s Adil Rashid, and Nuwan Thushara to each move up a place. Australian pacer Josh Hazlewood also gained two spots, climbing to 10th after a strong showing against India.Chakravarthy continues to be the only Indian in the top 10 of the bowling rankings, while Hardik Pandya remains the sole Indian all-rounder inside the top 10, holding fourth place. Pakistan’s Saim Ayub leads that category, followed by Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and West Indies’ Roston Chase.Pakistan’s recent success has reflected strongly in the rankings. Babar Azam has jumped nine places to joint 30th, Saim Ayub has risen 10 spots to 39th, and Salman Agha has climbed to 54th after their standout performances against the Proteas.Pakistan have now won four of their five bilateral T20I series in 2025, building strong momentum ahead of next year’s T20 World Cup.
