SHIMLA: Two men were charred to death after their car plunged into a 150-foot-deep gorge and caught fire on Wednesday on the Bharwain-Hoshiarpur road in Una district.A police officer said the two came from Ludhiana in Punjab and were returning after visiting the Chintpurni temple.An Aadhaar card recovered from the spot suggests one occupant was from Tajpur Road in Ludhiana.A police officer said the accident occurred after the driver lost control of the vehicle. By the time police and fire personnel reached the spot, the vehicle was gutted.One victim’s body was found outside the car, while the other was recovered from inside the vehicle. Police said the victims’ identities are yet to be established.In a separate incident, over a dozen Delhi-based devotees were injured after their mini-van rolled off the road near Kola Wala Toba in Bilaspur district. All of them were on their way back after visiting Naina Devi shrine.Locals helped evacuate the injured, who were taken to a nearby primary health centre and discharged after being given first aid.
