‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ continued its theatrical run with another substantial collection on its fifth day. The Yash starrer has now moved past the Rs 200 crore mark in India net earnings.Toxic Movie ReviewAccording to Sacnilk, the movie collected Rs 23 crore net across India on Day 5. The figure came from 16,241 shows. Its cumulative India net collection has reached Rs 214.10 crore.The movie has earned Rs 255.95 crore in India gross so far. Its overseas gross currently stands at Rs 29.25 crore. This takes the worldwide gross collection of ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ to Rs 285.20 crore.The latest numbers come after the movie recorded Rs 25.15 crore on Day 4 across 17,612 shows. The Sunday collection marks an 8.5% decline from the previous day’s figure.Further, Day 5 recorded an overall occupancy of 25.2%.

Hindi version remains biggest contributor

The Hindi version emerged as the top contributor to the Day 5 India net collection. It earned Rs 14.50 crore from 11,734 shows. The Kannada version followed with Rs 6.40 crore from 1,297 shows. It also recorded the strongest occupancy among the major language versions. The Telugu edition added Rs 1.40 crore from 1,541 shows. Tamil screenings contributed Rs 60 lakhs from 1,416 shows. The Malayalam version collected Rs 10 lakhs from 253 shows. The combined figures from all five versions resulted in the Rs 214.10 crore India net total.‘Toxic’ records varied occupancyThe Kannada version registered 55.44% overall occupancy on Day 5. Its morning shows recorded 37.31%. Afternoon occupancy climbed to 61.92%, while evening shows registered 61.62%. Meanwhile, the Hindi version recorded 29.97% overall occupancy. Morning shows stood at 18.38%. Afternoon occupancy reached 35.46%, while evening shows recorded 36.08%.The Telugu version registered 21.04% overall occupancy. Its morning shows recorded 17.77%. Afternoon and evening occupancy stood at 21.62% and 22%, respectively. The Tamil version posted 18.14% overall occupancy. Morning shows recorded 11.42%. Afternoon occupancy reached 21%, while evening shows stood at 15%.‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ OTT release‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ has reportedly secured a major post-theatrical deal. Reports by Filmibeat and Esquire India claim that ZEE5 has acquired the movie’s digital and satellite rights. The reported deal is worth around Rs 235 crore.Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-ups’ features Yash in a dual role. The movie also stars Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi, Tara Sutaria and Rukmini Vasanth.The film follows Yash’s character, Raya, as he rises to become a powerful crime lord in Goa during Portuguese rule.
