Mumbai rains: Heavy showers lash parts of city; traffic disrupted, roads waterlogged, airlines issue advisories
Mumbai experienced heavy overnight showers, leading to significant rainfall and widespread waterlogging, notably in the Andheri subway. Airlines like SpiceJet and IndiGo issued advisories, warning passengers of traffic congestion affecting airport travel. The rain is expected to intensify further, likely causing more disruptions to traffic and local train services.

NEW DELHI: Mumbai woke up to heavy overnight showers on Sunday, with the IMD Colaba observatory recording 120.8 mm of rainfall in the 24 hours ending 8.30 am. In comparison, the Santacruz observatory recorded 83.8 mm during the same period. Waterlogging has been reported in several parts of the city, including the Andheri subway, where traffic has been diverted.
