Mahua Election Result 2025 Live: Tej Pratap Yadav slips to fourth as LJP(RV)'s Sanjay Kumar Singh commands Mahua battle
Tej Pratap Yadav in fray from Mahua

NEW DELHI: In a dramatic turn for the Mahua battlefield, Tej Pratap Yadav finds himself pushed to the margins, trailing far behind with just 9557 votes—even as LJP (Ram Vilas) candidate Sanjay Kumar Singh dominates the race with a strong lead of 34541 votes. RJD’s Mukesh Kumar Raushan follows at 19998 votes, while AIMIM’s Amit Kumar stands at 9564. The numbers mark a stark setback for Tej Pratap, whose new party, Janshakti Janta Dal, is struggling to gain ground in a contest overwhelmingly shaped by stronger political players.

vote share

Tej Pratap, expelled earlier this year from the RJD and now contesting on his own banner, is attempting to reclaim Mahua. Raushan, the incumbent, is fighting to retain the seat amid threats of a split in the Yadav vote.

Candidates Party Votes Status
Tej Pratap Yadav JJP 9557 Trailing
Mukesh Kumar Raushan RJD 19998 Trailing
Sanjay Singh LJP(RV) 34541 Leading

Edit

In the 2020 assembly election, Mukesh Kumar Raushan of the RJD won with 62,747 votes (36.48 per cent), defeating JDU’s Ashma Parveen, who polled 48,977 votes (28.47 per cent). LJP’s Sanjay Kumar Singh secured 25,198 votes (14.65 per cent).

vote share2

Follow Raghopur Election Result 2025 In 2015, Tej Pratap had won the Mahua seat, securing approximately 66,927 votes (43.34 per cent) and defeating his nearest rival by a margin of 28,155 votes.

Nitish's flip flop

This year’s contest will test whether Tej Pratap’s return can disrupt the existing equation in Mahua, where the combination of caste, development issues and intra-party rivalries all surface. Counting of votes commences at 8:00am.
