Jigardan Gadhavi announces retirement; Playback singer bids goodbye to Gujarati singing

Popular singer Jigardan Gadhavi announced his retirement from playback singing. The announcement came on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. Jigardan has been a prominent voice in Gujarati music. His sudden decision has left fans surprised. He shared the anouncement through a heartfelt note on Instagram, and that too on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami.

Jigardan Gadhavi’s heartfelt note to fans

In his official statement, the singer expressed gratitude for the journey and support he received: “Hello everyone, especially my Gujarati listeners. Happy Ram Navami to all. Hope you all are fine. Here I announce my retirement from playbacks for Gujarati films and all Gujarati labels’/YouTube channels’ music projects. It’s been a great journey through these 10 years. Thank you for all the love and support Jigraa.“

Fans react on Jigardan Gadhavi’s retirement from singing

The announcement triggered a flood of reactions from fans. One commented, “Something big is coming.” Another wrote, “Have bhai dream project par machavshe.”Some fans supported his decision, with one saying, “Right way.” Others found it hard to accept, with comments like, “It’s shocking Jigrra without your voice. Jigardan Gadhavi’s journey and musical success

Jigardan Gadhavi has enjoyed a successful career spanning nearly a decade.Earlier, in an exclusive chat with ETimes, he spoke about creating one of his popular tracks. Sharing insights about “Ramo Re,” he said, “Last year, after I released ‘Chaniya Choli,’ which people praised a lot and showered lots of love on, it later went on to become a super-duper hit song. I want to say thank you so much to all of you. And then when I got this track, I wanted to make something even bigger, and I thought, Let’s create a track that feels grander than ‘Chaniya Choli.’ In that, I wanted to explore Shringar Ras, so I took that emotion and tried to write this song, ‘Ramo Re.’ “

What lies ahead for Jigardan Gadhavi?

Apart from Gujarati music, Jigardan has also made his presence felt in other industries. He recently crooned ‘Khudrang Dil’ in Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh. The song received appreciation from listeners.
