It proved a dangerous mix for three friends whose late-night ride back from a Murthal dinner outing ended in their death on the Libaspur flyover along GT Road early Wednesday.Their Bullet motorcycle slammed into a concrete barrier on the flyover in north Delhi’s Swaroop Nagar around 1.30am while returning from the popular highway food stop, police said. Police found the damaged motorcycle against a jersey barrier and the three riders lying nearby. “All three appeared to be dead at the spot.
The victims – Sumit (27), Mohit (26) and Anurag (23) of Nangloi – were taken to the govt hospital in Burari, where they were declared brought dead. Police said none of them had been wearing helmets. Police said the bike appeared to be travelling at high speed when the rider lost control and hit the barrier. The impact threw the men several feet onto a section of road under construction.
