'Blackmailed with morphed pics': Gwalior teen raped by 17-year-old neighbour on day of Jamui horror

BHOPAL: On the day a Class 10 student was molested on a road in Bihar’s Jamui, a 16-year-old girl nearly 1,000km away in MP’s Gwalior was allegedly raped by her 17-year-old neighbour after he blackmailed her with “morphed” private photos, police said.The Gwalior girl was on her way to coaching class on Saturday when her bike-borne tormentor allegedly intercepted her, telling her he would make the photos and “chats” public.He is then accused of forcing her to accompany him to a flat and raping her before dropping her near her coaching centre. The accused has been arrested.The boy had allegedly been stalking the Class 10 student for nearly a year, according to her family’s complaint.The girl told the police he had repeatedly followed her around her coaching centre and later began threatening her with the photos and chat screenshots.According to the complaint, the harassment stopped briefly but the accused allegedly resumed it later, leading to Saturday’s harassment and subsequent assault.
