We confirm that the image titled ‘Footwear Free Zone’ is not from any of our offices, and the anonymous post regarding hiring practices is false. At Tech Mahindra, we are firmly committed to building an inclusive, respectful workplace where every individual is treated with dignity and fairness, without discrimination of any kind, including on the basis of religion. We will continue to review our policies and processes to ensure that our values are upheld consistently, and that no coercive or inappropriate conduct is permitted or carried out in any manner whatsoever.”The claims gained traction after a screenshot of a message posted on X by Ashutosh J Dubey, an advocate at the Bombay High Court and head of BJP Maharashtra SM Legal & Advisory Department, went viral. Dubey said the message was sent to him by an anonymous employee. The development comes amid heightened scrutiny of IT firms after allegations at TCS’s Nashik unit prompted a police investigation.Earlier on Thursday, employees at Tata Consultancy Services’ Nashik office were told to work from home following allegations of sexual harassment and religious conversion, officials said.“TCS has asked its employees at Nasik station to work from home. The decision has been taken for the convenience and safety of employees,” TCS sources told news agency ANI.Police in Nashik have expanded their probe, writing to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and state intelligence units, amid concerns raised on social media about possible extremist links or foreign funding.Officials said nine FIRs have been registered based on complaints from employees, including allegations of sexual harassment, intimidation and attempts at religious coercion. Six employees and an assistant general manager have been arrested so far, while another woman accused remains absconding.
