NEW DELHI: Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor on Monday won the Bankipur assembly bypoll, defeating BJP candidate Neeraj Kumar by 19,324 votes after securing 64,151 votes, marking a winning start to his electoral career.The bypoll, necessitated after BJP national president Nitin Nabin vacated the seat following his election to the Rajya Sabha, turned into much more than a contest for a single constituency.
