The night before Cockroach Janta Party’s proposed march to the Parliament, the Delhi Police clarified that “no permission has been sought or granted for any protest march/procession.” “Prohibitory order under Section 163 BNSS is in force in the New Delhi District. Accordingly, protest marches, processions, demonstrations and assemblies of five or more persons are strictly prohibited, except at the designated protest site at Jantar Mantar, with prior permission,” the DCP posted on X.
‘Wangchuk to end fast if…’: Activist Sonam Wangchuk will end his fast on Wednesday if political leaders meet him and assure him they will raise the issue of education accountability during Parliament’s Monsoon Session, his wife Gitanjali Angmo said, according to PTI. Wangchuk has been on a hunger strike for more than twenty days, demanding accountability over examination paper leaks, recruitment failures and justice for affected students.

‘Medical team to take decisions on Wangchuk’s health’: Hearing a plea filed by Sonam Wangchuk’s partner, Gitanjali J Angmo, the Delhi High said, “Government action to move Sonam Wangchuk to hospital not arbitrary.” Justice Mini Pushkarna added that “Wangchuk will cooperate.” “It is to be noted that ultimate decision with regard to the medical condition of Wangchuk would be monitored by medical team which shall take decision as per the medical protocol. The court also records that the medical reports shall be shared with his family members. The plea was filed asking to shift him to a private health facility from Safdarjung Hospital.
