Like in the BSEB Inter results, girls have outperformed boys in the class 10 exams.
The overall pass percentage is 81.79%. A total of 15.10 lakh students appeared for the exam, of whom 12.35 lakh cleared it. Pushpanjali Kumari and Sabreen Parveen jointly topped the exam with 492 marks (98.4%). As many as 139 students featured in the top 10 merit list. Over 4.43 lakh students secured first division. The exams were held from February 17 to 25 across 1,699 centres. The board announced the results within 28 days of evaluation.
The Indian Express education portal at education.indianexpress.com will also host the Bihar Board Class 10 result 2026 alongside the official board websites. To be declared qualified in the BSEB Class 10 board exams 2026, students are required to score a minimum of 33 per cent in each subject and a total of 150 marks in aggregate. The Class 10 board examinations were held in February 2026 across 1,699 centres statewide. A total of 15,12,687 students sat for the exams, comprising 7,85,722 girls and 7,26,961 boys.

Results can also be accessed via SMS by typing BIHAR10 followed by the roll number and sending it to 56263. In the Bihar Board Class 10 result last year, the first rank holder was awarded Rs 1 lakh along with a laptop. The second-ranking student in the BSEB matric received Rs 75,000 and a laptop, while the third-ranking students received Rs 50,000 along with a laptop.
