Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Box Office Collection: During a time when gory action films are making a killing at the box office, Kapil Sharma’s attempt at a comedy film doesn’t seem to be going very well. His film Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has started its theatrical run, but the opening numbers are definitely concerning. According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the rom-com earned Rs 1.75 crore on its opening day at the theatres.

Helmed by Anukalp Goswami, the film has a lot to compete with at the box office given Dhurandhar is dominating the box office at the moment. The film has crossed Rs 240 crore in the first eight days and shows no signs of slowing down. Kapil’s film will also have to compete with James Cameron’s Avatar: Fire and Ash, which releases on December 19. There is already a lot of hype surrounding the third film of the franchise.

Kapil’s film is really down in the trenches, but with the upcoming weekend, things might change a bit. The first part of the franchise earned Rs 49.9 crore, with its opening day collections at Rs 10.2 crore.

The occupancy rates for the opening day of Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 averaged out at 16.45%, with the morning and afternoon shows bringing in rates of 5.91% and 13.90%. The occupancy slightly improved as the day went ahead, with the evening and night shows achieving rates of 17.21% and 28.77%. The film has opened with 1558 shows across the country, with Delhi-NCR and Mumbai leading the pack. However, if the collection doesn’t improve after the opening weekend, the film will start losing shows, further damaging the collection.

Directed by Anukalp Goswami, the film’s cast includes Kapil Sharma, Manjot Singh, Hira Warina, Tridha Choudhury, Parul Gulati, Ayesha Khan, Akhilendra Mishra, and Sushant Singh.
