MS Dhoni‘s aversion to phones has been highlighted once again by another former teammate. His detachment from social media continues to be a talking point in cricket circles. The Indian Premier League’s ever-changing landscape contrasts sharply with MS Dhoni’s consistent leadership approach. His fundamental principles focus on sticking to basics, emphasising process, and maximising control over controllable factors. These principles have helped establish him as one of cricket’s most successful leaders.

When will CSK legend MS Dhoni retire from IPL? Astrologer Greenstone Lobo predicts

His impact is evident in how careers have been transformed at Chennai Super Kings, and how young players under his guidance have developed, even if they later succeeded with other teams. His influence shows in his team selection, field positioning, and the way he creates clear guidelines for players to perform effectively.R Sai Kishore began his IPL journey with CSK in 2020 when the team acquired him at his base price of ₹20 lakh. Despite being in the squad for two seasons, he didn’t play any matches. In 2022, Gujarat Titans signed him for Rs 3 crore. In a recent conversation on Provoke TV, Sai Kishore shared insights about Dhoni’s approach to technology.“I have learnt a lot about this from MS Dhoni. He would never pick up his phone. He used to leave his phone in his hotel room and come for the games. That’s how detached he would be. This inspired me because I used to ask myself if being involved in social media is needed. So looking at him inspired me,” Sai said. This revelation provides a glimpse into how Dhoni maintains his focus by staying away from digital distractions in today’s social media-driven world. After not playing for CSK, Sai Kishore has emerged as one of India’s top T20 spinners at Gujarat Titans. He has participated in 25 matches and claimed 32 wickets.Kishore’s strength lies in his adaptability as a spinner. He has shown effectiveness both during power play and middle overs. Despite playing mostly during the impact player rule era, which favors aggressive batting, he has maintained an economy rate of around 8.85 while consistently taking wickets.
