Apple is opening pre-orders for the new iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in India today, September 12. The two new Pro models were unveiled earlier this week alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the iPhone Duo. However, while the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will be available to Indian buyers from September 18, the iPhone Duo will arrive later. Pre-orders for the two Pro models begin at 5:30 PM IST today. Buyers will be able to place orders through Apple’s online store and major retailers across the country. Here is everything to know about the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders, including the start time, where to order and the key dates to keep in mind.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders will open in India at 5:30 PM IST today, September 12. Apple has confirmed that both phones will be available from September 18. The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900.   • Colours: Black, Silver, Glacier and a new Burgundy
  • Bank offers: Instant cashback on American Express, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank cards
  • No Cost EMI: From Rs 26,316 a month for the iPhone 18 Pro and Rs 28,817 a month for the iPhone 18 Pro Max over six months, including instant cashback

Buyers will be able to pre-order the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max through Apple’s online store and Apple Store app. The phones will also be available through major retail and e-commerce channels. These include Amazon, Flipkart, Lotus Electronics, Vijay Sales and other authorised retail partners.Customers who prefer buying offline can also check availability at Apple Stores and other authorised retailers.

Apple iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max pre-orders start today: How to pre-order

Customers planning to pre-order should first decide which model, colour and storage option they want.The basic process is expected to be:

  • Visit the Apple online store or the website of the retailer of your choice.
  • Select iPhone 18 Pro or iPhone 18 Pro Max.
  • Choose the preferred storage and colour.
  • Check the available payment, cashback, EMI and exchange options.
  • Enter the required delivery details.
  • Complete the payment or follow the retailer’s pre-order process.

Since pre-orders open at 5:30 PM, buyers looking for a specific storage or colour option should be ready before the booking window opens. Apple’s online store is already listing the new Pro models and their configurations ahead of the pre-order window.

Apple iPhone Duo users will have to wait till October

Apple also unveiled the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max. However, the foldable iPhone will not be part of today’s pre-order window.Apple says iPhone Duo pre-orders in India will begin at 5:30 PM IST on October 16, with availability starting October 23. The phone’s price starts at Rs 2,99,900 in India. This means customers looking to buy Apple’s first foldable iPhone will have to wait until October, while the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max go on sale this month.
