‘Don’t take cinema too seriously’: Yash advises students and sends a strong message on ‘North-South’ comparison at ‘Toxic’ pre-release event

The Telugu pre-release event of ‘Toxic’ in Hyderabad was not just a film celebration; it was a stage for Yash to speak about cinema, dreams, and unity. The actor spoke about the increasing reach of Indian cinema and thanked the Telugu audiences for their constant support while addressing a large gathering of students and fans. He said talent and hard work could overcome the barriers of language and geography to unite people.

Yash thanks Telugu fans, praises spirit of Indian cinema

Yash started his speech by thanking the Telugu audience for all the love they have given him in his career. Reflecting on his journey after ‘KGF,’ the actor said, “I want to thank all the Telugu viewers. Thank you so much. You have shown so much love.” He added that the Indian film industry has given people the confidence to dream bigger. Yash stressed that audiences do not look at language or regional boundaries when they see genuine effort. “If anyone works with honesty and passion, the viewers will always support them. They are not biased. They are very honest and truthful,” he said. He further described cinema as a space where there should be no barriers. “There are no boundaries. There is no barrier. There is humanity beyond language and borders. There is humanity, love and honesty,” Yash stated.

‘Toxic’ star Yash gives students a message about dreams and failure

With thousands of youngsters and students present at the event, Yash shifted his speech towards motivation. He urged them not to limit their ambitions and reminded them that success can come in any field. “Don’t take cinema too seriously. Whatever you want to do in life, dream it,” he said. Sharing a lesson from his own experience, Yash also spoke about taking responsibility for failures instead of blaming others. “If we fail in something, or if we don’t achieve anything, I don’t think we should blame the world. Only we will be responsible,” the actor said. His words struck a different note at an event largely centred on his upcoming film.

Yash urges youngsters to reject North-South divisions

Towards the end of his speech, Yash called on the younger generation to look beyond regional differences and work towards a stronger Indian cinema identity. “North, South, we don’t want any of this,” he said, asking youngsters not to listen to people who try to divide audiences through language or politics. He added, “If you work in any state, wherever you go, you will get the same love. Wherever you come from, if you do a good job, you will get the same love.“

About ‘Toxic’

Directed by Geetu Mohandas, ‘Toxic’ stars Yash in the lead role. The film features Nayanthara, Kiara Advani, Huma Qureshi and Tara Sutaria in important roles. Being certified ‘A’ by the CBFC, the film is set to release on August 26, and reservations for the film are going strong across locations.
