The makers of ‘Awarapan 2’, starring Emraan Hashmi, banked on the nostalgia factor and revamped versions of the songs from the original ‘Awarapan’ to pull audiences into theatres. So far, this has worked pretty well in their favour. The film is currently in its second week and has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in the first week. Here’s how it performed on Day 9 at the box office.

According to the Sacnilk report, on Day 9, the Emraan Hashmi starrer saw a significant increase in box office collection with 43.5% growth compared to its previous day’s earnings. The film collected a net of Rs 8.25 crore across 10,008 shows. With that, the total India net collection reached Rs 127.50 crore, while the total India gross collection stands at Rs 152.11 crore.Overseas, the film collected Rs 1.50 crore on Day 9, taking its total overseas gross to Rs 28.80 crore. This pushed the worldwide gross collection to Rs 180.91 crore.
