CHHATRAPATI SAMBHAJINAGAR: Two youths, Manish Brahmabhatt and Rahul Pandya, who had been on an indefinite hunger strike in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to protest the list of core committee members announced by Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) on Aug 6, were admitted to a hospital on Monday after alleged detorioration in their health condition. The two youths have accused CJP leadership of favouritism and excluding grassroots members from the newly constituted core committee. Speaking to the media, Brahmabhatt alleged that the police forcibly shifted them to the hospital. He, however, said the agitation would continue despite their hospitalisation.Following the duo’s hospitalisation, two new volunteers replaced them at the protest site, announcing that they would carry forward the hunger strike against CJP founder Abhijeet Dipke.Brahmabhatt and Pandya had earlier said they stood shoulder to shoulder with Dipke during the Jantar Mantar agitation in Delhi, but only people close to Dipke were invited to the core committee meeting. The duo claimed that the movement belonged to youth from across the country and not to any individual, demanding greater internal democracy within the organisation. They also sought representation for volunteers from every state in the committee.Dipke did not issue any response to the hospitalisation of the two protesters till Monday evening.
