Cristiano Ronaldo added yet another extraordinary achievement to his glittering career after finding the net against Uzbekistan and becoming the first footballer in history to score in six different FIFA World Cup editions. The Portugal captain, now 41, continued his remarkable love affair with the biggest stage in world football by extending a record that may stand for years to come. Having already featured in six World Cups, Ronaldo‘s goal ensured he became the only player to score in every tournament from 2006 to 2026.The milestone comes at a crucial time for Portugal, who entered the match under pressure after a surprise 1-1 draw against DR Congo in their opening fixture. Ronaldo himself faced criticism following a quiet performance in that game, but the veteran forward responded in the best possible manner by once again delivering on football’s grandest stage.Since making his World Cup debut in Germany in 2006, Ronaldo has consistently rewritten football history. Across two decades, he has represented Portugal at six different editions of the tournament, scoring goals in each one while helping his nation reach the latter stages on multiple occasions.

Brazil 2014 3 1 1 Group Stage
Russia 2018 4 4 0 Round of 16
Qatar 2022 5 1 0 Quarter-finals
USA, Mexico & Canada 2026* 2 2 0 Ongoing
Total 24 10 2 —

Ronaldo’s latest landmark is another chapter in a career defined by longevity, consistency and an unmatched appetite for records. While questions were raised after Portugal’s opening draw and his subdued display, the veteran forward once again proved why he remains one of football’s most influential figures.
