Re-NEET UG 2026: NTA launches portal to report fake paper leak claims, impersonation ahead of June 21 exam
NTA asks candidates to report suspicious activities, impersonation and leak rumours

Re-NEET UG 2026: With the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination just days away, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has launched a dedicated portal for candidates and the public to report suspicious activities, fake paper leak claims, and impersonation attempts related to the medical entrance examination. The move comes as authorities intensify efforts to safeguard the integrity of the re-examination, scheduled for June 21, following the cancellation of the original NEET UG 2026 test amid a major multi-state paper leak controversy. Through the newly launched reporting platform, candidates can flag dubious websites, social media posts, and individuals making fraudulent claims about access to exam content.NTA urges students to ignore rumours and report suspicious claimsIn a public advisory issued ahead of the examination, the NTA cautioned candidates against falling prey to misinformation, fake question paper offers, and individuals claiming to guarantee results in exchange for money.“Don’t let rumours decide your NEET (UG) 2026 journey. No one, repeat, no one has access to the question paper before the exam,” the agency stated in its advisory. The reporting facility has been made available through the MyGov portal and will remain open from June 14 to June 30, 2026. Candidates can log in and submit complaints regarding suspicious activities linked to the examination process.Three categories identified for reportingAccording to details published on the portal, users can report concerns under three broad categories:• Websites or social media accounts claiming access to NEET UG 2026 question papers or answer keys.• Individuals claiming access to confidential examination content or offering leaked papers.• Cases involving impersonation of NTA officials, government representatives, or examination centre staff. The portal has been launched under the broader framework of the Public Examinations (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act, 2024, which seeks to curb examination-related malpractice and ensure fair conduct of public examinations. How candidates can report suspicious activityCandidates who come across dubious claims can visit the dedicated portal, register or log in, and submit details of the suspicious activity. The platform allows users to provide relevant information and supporting evidence for review by authorities. The NTA has advised aspirants to rely only on official sources for examination-related updates and information. Candidates have been urged to follow the official NEET and NTA websites and avoid unofficial channels circulating unverified claims. The Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will be conducted on June 21 from 2 pm to 5:15 pm. More than 22 lakh candidates who were registered for the cancelled May 3 examination are eligible to appear for the re-test, which is being held under enhanced security arrangements following last month’s paper leak scandal.
