The company also unveiled the underlying architecture of the next generation of Apple Intelligence, which is powered by upgraded AI models developed through its collaboration with Google and use of its Gemini AI technology, along with a new ‘system orchestrator’ to help Apple Intelligence connect the dots between apps, personal files, etc.

Beyond AI, Apple also unveiled new Child Accounts with strong parental controls where parents, for instance, can review apps and approve them with the ‘Ask to Browse’ feature, in addition to new Time Allowances and Screen Time Schedule options. The next version of Apple’s desktop operating system, macOS Golden Gate, was also introduced during the keynote. There’s also a new slider that lets you tint the opacity of different apps and search bars.
