What options are the rebel MPs considering? As per sources, the MPs are deliberating two major courses of action. One proposal is to approach Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla seeking recognition as a separate parliamentary group, independent of party leader Abhishek Banerjee. The second, more drastic option under discussion is a coordinated mass resignation by the MPs. Meanwhile, top opposition leaders, including Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge, Mamata Banerjee, Akhilesh Yadav and Omar Abdullah, gathered at the Constitution Club in New Delhi on Monday for the INDIA bloc meeting. The leaders discussed the alliance’s roadmap for upcoming state elections and the 2029 Lok Sabha polls, while seeking to strengthen coordination among partner parties.
