Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M) said it had achieved electric vehicles sales worth over ₹8,000 crore in H1 FY26, making it the number one player in India in terms of half year revenue generated from electric vehicle sales.

Its electric origin vehicles XEV 9e and BE 6 were unveiled in November last year. In seven months, the company said, it had sold over30,000 electric vehicles, thus selling 1 EV in 10 minutes said Rajesh Jejurikar, ED & CEO, M&M.

The company said over 1000 plus Mahindra Electric Origin SUVs have crossed 20,000 km and 65% has been driven every single working day.

The owners have cumulatively driven over 200 million km, proving their capability.

The company on Wednesday also introduced BE 6 Formula E Edition with starting price of ₹23.69 lakh.

Bookings will open on January 14, 2026 and deliveries will begin from February 14, 2026.

R. Velusamy, President – Automotive Business, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Managing Director, Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd., said, “Our customers conveyed a compelling message, the BE 6 doesn’t just look futuristic, but it also evokes the sensation of being in a racing cockpit once they step inside. They love that it screams electric, unapologetically.”

“We built the Formula E Edition by listening to that energy. Racing is no longer a niche in India; it’s becoming a lifestyle statement. With this edition, we’ve channelled that cultural shift into a machine that celebrates electric performance the Mahindra way – bold, emotional, and proudly made in India,” he said.

Nalinikanth Gollagunta, Chief Executive Officer – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. and Executive Director, Mahindra Electric Automobile Ltd., said “Motorsport is India’s new young passion. And no Indian brand has lived this journey more authentically than Mahindra. With the BE 6 Formula E Edition, we are bringing this racing spirit to the street. It’s bold, electric, defiant – and unmistakably Indian.”
