Dharmendra has been in the limelight for years now but despite experiencing stardom and fame in such a huge way, the actor has always chased his ‘peace and quiet’. The testament to that is how he loves spending time at his farmhouse. His sprawling 100-acre farmhouse, wrapped in greenery, fields, and meandering paths, is where the veteran actor now spends most of his day, far removed from the chaos of Mumbai. This isn’t a lavish showpiece or a celebrity’s vanity retreat. It’s a space that has grown slowly, lovingly, over decades, a place where Dharmendra has chosen simplicity over spectacle. Nestled deep within nature, the property feels completely cut off from city noise, perfectly suited to a man who has often said that, at heart, he loves “soil, crops, open skies and the everyday rhythm of the outdoors.”

Having grown up in Sahnewal, Punjab, Dharmendra’s connection to farming runs deep. For him, agriculture wasn’t a poetic escape or a trendy pursuit, it was simply a way of life. That deep-rooted instinct never left him, even after he became one of Hindi cinema’s most beloved stars. The farmhouse itself mirrors that grounding. Instead of glass-and-steel modernity, it embraces wood, stone, and earthy textures. The main sitting area is filled with sturdy, comfortable furniture, large enough for family gatherings and long conversations. It’s the kind of space where evenings linger, stories unfold unhurriedly, and silences are comfortable companions. He personally has grown fruits, vegetables, and rice across the estate. His social media occasionally offers glimpses of him watering plants, picking mangoes, or playfully chasing ducks, moments that radiate authenticity. There’s nothing staged about them; the joy on his face is unmistakable. Dharmendra also keeps buffaloes and other livestock on the property and most of his life, he’s often spent time there with his wife Prakash Kaur. A while ago, Bobby Deol had spoken about it during a chat with ABP Live. He had revealed, “My mum is also there. They’re both at the farm in Khandala right now. Papa and Mummy are together; he just gets a little dramatic. They love being at the farmhouse. They’re also old now, and being at the farmhouse is relaxing for them. The weather is nice, the food is nice. Papa has made a paradise out there.”See More: ‘Sharam nai aati’: Sunny Deol loses his cool at the paparazzi for standing outside Dharmendra’s house
